During the Juilliard Theater Center’s 1982 spring fourth-year repertory season, Michael Kahn (faculty 1968-2006, division director 1992- 2006) directed two contemporary Australian plays in their American premieres: Stephen Sewell’s Traitors, an account of political turmoil in the 1920s, and Louis Nowra’s historical drama Visions, which is about dictator Francisco Solano López and Paraguay’s War of the Triple Alliance in the 1860s. Group 11 also presented Shakespeare’s Love’s Labour’s Lost (directed by Michael Langham) and Sir George Etherege’s Restoration comedy, The Man of Mode (directed by Stephen Hollis).
