Dear Students,

First, I want to thank everyone for your patience and understanding as we make adjustments to the start of our spring semester. We know the continued COVID disruption, and the uncertainty that comes with it, is frustrating. We continue to work daily to do everything we can to return to in-person work on Tuesday, January 18. Each department and division is hard at work to adjust schedules, reschedule missed performances, and prepare for our return to in-person work.

In order to help get us there, we all have a role to play. If you can stay home for now, please do. If you absolutely must access the Diamond Building this week and next, you must stay masked and socially distanced from others at all times—for now, we are not allowing more than 2 students in a room at one time. It also means staying home if you have any cold or flu-like symptoms at all, testing as required, limiting your exposure whenever possible, and getting your booster if eligible.

Please read detailed information on our booster requirement in our COVID-19 Booster Policy. We know that boosters are a key to providing protection from serious illness as a result of Omicron. Please read the attached policy carefully and, if eligible, get your booster as soon as possible.

We will continue to keep you updated as we have more information to share.

Sincerely,
Provost Meyer
