Biography

Dominic Finocchiaro’s full-length plays include angel's share, brut, cataract, complex, dress, The Found Dog Ribbon Dance, Gold Person, halfs, how it feels to fall from the sky, I Summon You, The Lucky Ladies, mother’s son, s(c)e(n)e[n], and Trees in their youth. His writing has been produced and developed around the country, including with Roundabout Theatre, the New Group, Actors Theatre of Louisville, the Echo Theater, the Civilians, Clubbed Thumb, the Lark Play Development Center, the National New Play Network, Portland Center Stage, the Flea Theater, the Kennedy Center, PlayPenn, Seven Devils Playwrights Conference, Dixon Place, and the Amoralists. MacDowell and UCross Fellow. BA Reed College, MFA Columbia University. He teaches at the Pierrepont School and is a Lila Acheson Wallace American playwrighting fellow at The Juilliard School.

But what are they willing to give up in order to finally be seen by the world? A meditation on reality television, loneliness, and the dark desires of the modern audience.

When one of his student's work and behavior begins to point toward troubling secrets, Daniel is forced to choose between his long-held loyalties and his professional responsibilities. A portrait of complicity and toxic male relationships in a MeToo world.

 

THE AISLE

Mike and Jan, struggling through a rough patch in their marriage and their lives, are enervated by the arrival of a charismatic new couple in their building. As they learn more about their new friends’ lifestyles, however, they are forced to ask themselves just how much they are willing to sacrifice—perhaps literally—to bridge their differences and not rock the boat.
