Juilliard and Nord Anglia Education
The Juilliard-Nord Anglia Performing Arts Program is a multifaceted collaboration launched in 2015 to create an innovative arts education curriculum for students in grades K-12. Created in collaboration with Nord Anglia Education, the program will bring Juilliard's philosophies of teaching dance, drama, and music to Nord Anglia classrooms around the world. The program seeks to inspire and equip students with the creativity, curiosity, and cultural literacy to engage with the performing arts throughout their lives.
Beginning with music, the embedded arts curriculum is designed for all students, not just those who are serious about learning an instrument or musical performance. The program is based around a Juilliard-curated repertoire of twelve core works that cover a wide range of genres, styles and cultures.
After School Arts with Juilliard is a lesson program that provides specialized private and group lessons with Juilliard artists who live in their community. The program will hold its inaugural year at British International School of Chicago (both South Loop and Lincoln Park campuses), with additional schools announced after May 2016.
Summer Performing Arts with Juilliard is a unique two-week immersive performing arts program that is designed to give students the opportunity to engage with Juilliard artists and faculty. It will hold its inaugural program at Collège du Léman in Switzerland in July 2016.
Juilliard Alumni and Affiliated Artists
In addition, the program connects Juilliard’s worldwide network of performers, teaching artists, and curriculum specialists with the schools to provide them with workshops, master classes and performances throughout the school year.
We are seeking alumni and affiliated artists in music, dance, and drama who have an interest in visiting schools in the Nord Anglia network to perform, teach master classes, lead workshops, and engage in a variety of other activities with students, teachers, and parents.
If you are enthusiastic about performing in K-12 educational settings all over the world, we would love to get to know you and your work! Please send an email to JuilliardNAE@juilliard.edu including a brief bio, and résumé.
