    Overview Juilliard’s Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) degree program, known as the C.V. Starr Doctoral Program, is the most advanced course of study offered at The School.     Pre-College - Bassoon - Application & Audition Requirements

    Overview The Juilliard Pre-College is a program for students of elementary through high school age who exhibit the talent, potential, and accomplishment to pursue a career in music. It runs on Saturdays from September through May. Pre-College offers a complete curriculum of music instruction that requires a considerable amount of time and commitment on the part of the students. Recognizing the importance of early development and discipline in the music field, the School provides an atmosphere where artistic gifts and technical skills can flourish.     Music Advancement Program - Bassoon - Application & Audition Requirements

    Overview The Music Advancement Program (MAP) offers a comprehensive curriculum of music instruction to intermediate and advanced level students ages 8-17. Classes take place 8:30am-6:00pm on Saturdays, September through May. The program is tuition-free. The Music Advancement Program selects students based on a competitive application, audition, and interview process. The online application for the upcoming academic year is made available in the late fall and must be completed by the posted deadline. Auditions are held at The Juilliard School in May. Accepted students begin their studies in September. MAP does not accept students mid-year. Admitted students may participate in MAP for up to four years or through their senior year of high school, whichever occurs first. The Music Advancement Program accepts approximately 30 new students each year for a total of 80-95 enrolled students.
