The Office of Alumni Relations holds a variety of in-person and virtual events such as reunions, regional alumni events, entrepreneurship symposiums, and virtual Alexander Technique classes. 1980s Pre-College Alumni Reunion

Pre-College alumni from the 1980s reunited with fellow alumni for a day full of reminiscing, music-making, and returning to their Juilliard roots! In addition to reconnecting with one another, alumni toured the school, viewed archival materials from the ’80s in the Juilliard library, and played together in Room 309 once again. In the evening, alumni enjoyed a performance of the Pre-College Orchestra conducted by Adam Glaser at Alice Tully Hall.
Dance Alumni Open House

Dance alumni got reacquainted with the Juilliard Dance Division at the Dance Alumni Open House. During the day, alumni observed dance classes with fellow alumni and had lunch with dance faculty and students. In the evening, we invited alumni to attend one of two performances featuring current dance students, at Juilliard and the Baryshnikov Arts Center.
Movement Class with Andrea Miller

Alumni experienced a virtual movement workshop with renowned choreographer, educator, and dance alumna Andrea Miller. Structured as a guided movement meditation, this class allowed you to explore your physicality and imagination. It was open and accessible to all levels, ages, and backgrounds.
Entrepreneurship Symposium

Alumni and other members of the Juilliard community joined the Office of Alumni Relations and the Alan D. Marks Center for Career Services and Entrepreneurship virtually for Juilliard's 2022 Entrepreneurship Symposium, Thriving in the Arts. Symposium attendees explored critical questions, techniques, and practices that allowed them to find professional opportunities, craft a new path forward, and define the 21st century in the arts. Guest speakers, workshops, and presentations led by arts leaders from Juilliard and around the world were featured.

Drama alumni were invited to Los Angeles for a reception as they welcomed the graduating class (Group 51) for their West Coast Actor Presentations! Drama alumni also were invited to attend a dress rehearsal and a showing of Group 51's Actor Presentations.

Reminiscence: Stories Of Juilliard Dance from 1950 - 1960

"The Quintet," a group of five Juilliard Dance alumni from the late 50s and early 60s, shared stories from their time at Juilliard. Comprised of Elizabeth Bergmann (BS '60, dance), Carol Egan (BS '60, dance), Myron Howard Nadel (BS '62, dance), Joel Schnee (BS '58, dance), and Janet Soares (BS '61, dance). The Quintet has been gathering virtually since the summer of 2021 and since developed a remarkable camaraderie. During this zoom event, "The Quintet" reflected on past curriculum, faculty, and more in a discussion moderated by Alicia Graf Mack, Director of the Dance Division and Jeffrey Edwards, dance faculty.
Eurydice: From Juilliard to the Met

The Metropolitan Opera will premiered Eurydice, a work by composer Matthew Aucoin (Graduate Diploma '14, composition), featuring Erin Morley (MM '05, voice, Artist Diploma '07, opera studies), and Jakub Józef Orliński (Graduate Diploma ’17, voice), in the cast. Brian Zeger, Artistic Director for the Ellen and James S. Marcus Institute for Vocal Arts, lead an exclusive roundtable with all three alumni as they discussed each of their processes and paths all the way from Juilliard to the Met’s Eurydice.
Jazz Anniversary: Pre-Show Drinks at Alice Tully Hall

Jazz alumni were offered complimentary tickets for them and a guest to attend the Juilliard Jazz Orchestra that took place on October 30, 7:30pm at Alice Tully Hall. They gathered with fellow alumni for a pre-show celebratory drink at 6:30pm in Alice Tully Hall's Och Foyer! (Drink vouchers were provided).

For this event, Juilliard welcomed alumna, violinist, attorney, and artist advocate Cecelia Hobbs Gardner (Pre-College '75; BM '80, MM '81) as speaker and moderator for our new Alumni Resources series, focused on offering support and guidance to our performing arts community during this difficult and unprecedented time. Each webinar highlights financial, job, and career strategies aimed at maintaining a sense of stability as the arts industry redefines its future.
During the first webinar on October 28, Cecelia walked us through a wide-ranging COVID-19 and general resource list that she created especially with Juilliard alumni in mind. It includes information on performance and project-based grants, food and financial assistance, health care, housing, and legal services.
