Overview

Juilliard welcomes dancers ages 10-18 to the Juilliard Dance Experience! These one-day workshops will give intermediate and advanced dancers the chance to experience Juilliard’s dance program and take technique classes with the Dance Division’s faculty, alumni, and students. Participants will join more than 150 dancers for a celebratory day of dance.

Juilliard Dance looks forward to welcoming the next generation of dancers to campus. No audition is required and students of all backgrounds are invited to participate.

Detailed information about the day and scholarships is below. Questions can be emailed to [email protected].

What to Expect

In a positive and supportive environment, dancers will be grouped by age and will get an insider’s perspective of what Juilliard Dance training is like. The day will include technique classes in ballet, contemporary, improvisation, and hip-hop as well as a live performance and discussion with Juilliard Dance students.

Throughout the day, dancers will have the opportunity to meet and mingle with current Juilliard Dance students to learn more about pursuing dance in higher education and about the life of a Juilliard dancer.

Parents will also be offered the opportunity to learn more about Juilliard Dance at an information session with our associate director of admissions for dance and drama, Larry Geddes.
