The Office of Student of Affairs plans a diverse array of social, educational, and cultural events throughout the academic year that create opportunities for students to meet, socialize, and learn. These extra-curricular activities also help contribute to the overall health and well-being of the student body by engaging and informing the students about topics such as nutrition, time management, alcohol and drug awareness, and more. Students are exposed to civic engagement in the greater NYC community through service projects and events. To ensure that students are represented in the planning of these events, Programming Assistants are hired to work with the Assistant Director for Student Engagement & Leadership Development. Some of these events include the Halloween Dance, Chill Out Week, and the Spring Block Party. Students are always welcome to offer suggestions for activities both on and off campus.
Student organizations affiliated with the OSA provide opportunities for students to gain interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
