Summer Performing Arts with Juilliard at Nord Anglia Schools

Summer Performing Arts with Juilliard offers immersive programs for performing artists ages 10-18. Under the direction of Juilliard artist faculty, students from around the world cultivate their skills and creative talents in dance, drama, and music. Our programs offer unique experiences such as private lessons, artistic collaboration, masterclasses, seminars, and performances in dance, drama, piano, strings, and voice.

 

Juilliard Summer Winds

The program will occur online in 2022. Juilliard Summer Winds is a program for advanced high school instrumentalists who play flute, oboe, clarinet, horn, and bassoon. During two intensive weeks, participants will experience an exciting range of master classes, clinics, lectures, rehearsals, and performances led by Juilliard college faculty as well as many of today’s most prominent woodwind and horn teachers and performers.

 

Starling-DeLay Symposium on Violin Studies

The biennial Starling-DeLay Symposium on Violin Studies is dedicated to fostering the legacy of the renowned teacher, Dorothy DeLay, and features pre-eminent artist-faculty teaching pedagogy, leading master classes, and performing in recitals.

 

Juilliard Summer Dance Intensive

The Juilliard Summer Dance Intensiveis a three-week program in ballet, modern, and contemporary dance techniques for advanced students who want a taste of what a Juilliard dance student's life is all about: refining technique and performance, broadening understanding of various dance styles, and making friends from all over the world.

 

Summer Percussion Seminar

Juilliard's Summer Percussion Seminar is designed specifically for advanced high-school percussionists. During two intensive weeks, participants will experience a challenging range of master classes, clinics, lectures, rehearsals, and performances led by some of today’s most prominent percussion teachers and performers. 

 

Summer Professional Development

Juilliard is offering three virtual workshops for K–12 performing arts educators. Each series is co-facilitated by Juilliard faculty, staff, and guest presenters and is for teachers, teaching artists, and related professionals who are interested in developing their teaching or understanding of K–12 performing arts instruction.

 

Juilliard String Quartet Seminar

Each year The Juilliard School hosts a weeklong seminar to foster the artistic growth of pre-formed, pre-professional string quartets. Through intensive coaching and mentoring with members of the Juilliard String Quartet, as well as interaction with other participating quartets, students are able to refine their artistry in a stimulating artistic environment.
