Closing Spaces with Creative Associate Caili Quan

Juilliard's 2021 Convocation closed with the fourth-year dancers performing Closing Spaces, a new dance made for the occasion by Creative Associate Caili Quan. Music for the new work was Gabriella Smith’s Tesselations, which was performed by a student sextet coached by Dean and Director of the Music Division David Ludwig.

Of Thee I Sing is a video collaboration of 100+ Juilliard musicians conducted by David Robertson performing Creative Associate Kurt Crowley’s expanded arrangement of Charles Ives’ Variations on ‘America.’


Tessellatum With Creative Associate Nadia Sirota

Creative Associate Nadia Sirota partnered with Juilliard musicians to workshop Tessellatum, a multimedia project with music by Donnacha Dennehy and video animation by Steven Mertens that culminated in two public performances and a conversation with the artists.
