The Student Accounts Office is responsible for the billing and collection of tuition, fees, and other charges for students in all Juilliard programs. In support of this function, the office issues tuition statements for students, receives payments, and follows up on balances due, disburses financial aid to students’ accounts when available, and issues refunds to students who have credit balances on their accounts. The office also communicates with the School’s payment plan provider to manage the tuition payment plan option offered to students and their families, manages enrollment in the student health insurance plan, and prepares and mails the annual federal tax form 1098-T to students. In addition to these services, the Student Accounts staff handles a variety of other student account-related matters, and is pleased to assist with any inquiries.

Check and cash payments in US dollars may be made in person or by mail to the Office of Student Accounts. Please make checks out to The Juilliard School, and include the student’s full name and Juilliard ID number in the memo section of the check. Online Payment Option
Online payments may be made toward an outstanding balance through Tuition Management Systems (TMS) at www.afford.com. Payments may be made from a U.S. checking or savings account. There is no charge for this method of payment. Credit Card payments are NOT accepted.
To make an online payment, go to www.afford.com and click on the ‘Make a Payment’ link. Then click on the ‘Pay in Full’ tab on the drop down menu and follow the prompts.
One-time payments may also be made over the phone. To do so, call 1-800-722-4867 and choose option 2 (‘Pay in Full’). There is a service fee of $10 for this option if you speak with a customer service representative. There is no charge to use the automated phone system.
Monthly Payment Plan
A deferred payment plan for tuition and housing charges is available through Tuition Management Systems (TMS). This plan gives students the option to pay for all or a portion of their tuition, fees and on-campus housing in monthly installments. This interest-free monthly payment option has an enrollment fee of $30.00 per semester. The Fall semester plan starts on August 1st and requires 4 monthly payments through November 1st. The Spring semester plan starts on December 1st and requires that students re-enroll once they have received the Spring semester billing statement. You can enroll in the monthly payment plan by calling TMS at 1-800-722-4867 or online at www.afford.com. Enrollments done after the payment deadline for either semester will be charged Juilliard’s late payment fee of $50.00.
