Robert Langevin, of Sherbrooke, Quebec, has been a member of the flute faculty since 2000. He has been principal flutist with the New York Philharmonic since 2000. Langevin was associate principal flute player with the Montreal Symphony (1980-93) and principal flutist with the Pittsburgh Symphony (1993-2000). He has been a faculty member at the Orford International Summer Festival since 1994. Langevin studied at Montreal Conservatory with Jean-Paul Major, Freiburg Conservatory (Germany) with Aurele Nicolet, and Geneva Conservatory (Switzerland) with Maxence Larrieu.
