Glenn Morton has been a faculty member since fall 2014. He has also worked as a vocal coach and teacher of diction and classical vocal literature at Mannes College The New School for Music and Manhattan School of Music. He was formerly a faculty member at New York University’s Steinhardt School of Education. As a diction coach in Italian and French opera, program director, and assistant conductor, Morton has held positions with the Santa Fe Opera, Glimmerglass Opera, the Opera Company of Boston, Sarasota Opera, Tulsa Opera, Opera Lyra Ottawa, and the New Orleans Opera. Morton has been president and artistic director of Classic Lyric Arts, a non-profit organization dedicated to offering advanced summer training programs in classical vocal studies in France (L’Art du Chant Français) and Italy (La Lingua della Lirica) since 2009. Morton received his bachelor’s degree in piano performance from the Hartt School of Music and his master’s degree in collaborative piano from the Manhattan School of Music.
