Postcards From Juilliard Alums

Life hasn’t slowed down since I graduated from Juilliard. I gave birth to my daughter in April 2019, one month before graduating, and since then my time has been quite occupied with temper tantrums and diaper changing. Somehow I have been able to fit in practice time, and thanks to a generous Novick Career Advancement Grant, I was able to complete a successful audition tour which landed me a contract with the Deutsche Oper Berlin for the 2020-21 season! Unfortunately, the pandemic hit before the start of the season, and moving to Berlin in the middle of a pandemic was extremely challenging. But thankfully I got to star in the world premiere of Waldesruh and covered Gerhilde and Helmwige in Die Walküre before the company shut down because of the pandemic. After that I began teaching, which has been incredibly rewarding.
