Postcards From Juilliard Alums

Life after Juilliard hasn’t been all I planned it to be. To be fair, when I graduated from the Drama Division, in 2019, I told myself that I was hungry to get to know who I was outside of being an actor. I didn’t anticipate ending up taking a hiatus from acting altogether and returning to the Philippines, where I grew up. From then till now, I’ve made my directorial debut, created my own online courses, started my first job as acting coach and intimacy coordinator for a full-length film, and joined the 2023 Producing 101 Cohort under Theatre Producers of Color. But before I did all that, there were two years of a whole lot of “nothing,” and everything seemed to fall apart.

Outside work, I continue to write every day. I’ve fallen in love with Korean dramas and became godmother to a lemon beagle. I’m looking forward to embracing a deeper, more expansive, more complex version of myself, and getting back what I thought I’d lost.
