About

Deanna Cirielli is a classically trained harpist. Currently, she is a C.V. Starr doctoral candidate at the Juilliard School, where she also earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees (MM ’22, BM ‘20) studying with Nancy Allen.

Connection through storytelling falls at the heart of her artistry and teaching philosophies. As a Boston native she grew up in the city’s vibrant orchestral music scene, and her formative ensemble background shapes her approach to musicmaking as communal activity between performers and audience members alike. In the classroom, she holds positions with Juilliard’s College and Pre-College divisions teaching music theory and history, and in that role guides students to use the tools gained in their academic studies to advance their own performance practices.

Her own performance work has featured concerts across the globe, including tours through England, Spain, Germany, and the Czech Republic alongside regular programming at home in New York.
